22in x 28in Acrylic on Canvas

This is one of the houses I often visit in my dreams. I started visiting it after my great-grandmother had passed in waking life. The room I would always find her in was dressed in rich golds and reds. She would tell me things that would help me through my path, little stories, and she would guide me to specific rooms that seemed to open things up about my past that I either forgot or lost along the way. I remember hearing family stories throughout my life about our weird family history. It was comforting and eye-opening to hear that my great-grandmother shared my same weird sleep habits. She was more vocal than I was in her sleep. My Mother said she could hear blood-curdling screams from her room because of the night terrors that haunted her. My Great-grandfather would bang on the floor with a hammer to wake her from them.
