This painting is influenced by my love of Paris, New Orleans, and my French background. In this painting I wanted to share some of what makes these places feel magical to me. They both have that extra layer of stories of the light and the darkness. The warnings and the blessings that are found there. The are small details like the saying hidden in the catacombs of the painting. I wanted to show the symbiotic relationship between life and death. The hidden existence of the paranormal and how it helps guide us through the first stage of life til the next
